Get tested.

Ladies, it’s important to get a Pap test every year starting at age 18—or when you become sexually active. This test screens you for cervical cancer.

Did you know that about 12,000 women in the U.S. are diagnosed with cervical cancer each year?

Please talk to your doctor about having this test: Finding and treating cancer early can save your life. If you need help finding an Keystone First doctor, please go to Find a Provider or call Member Services at 1-800-521-6860.

What is cervical cancer?
Cervical cancer happens when the cells on your cervix become abnormal. This can happen if you get the human papillomavirus (HPV). You can get HPV from having sex. Over 6 million men and women in the U.S. get the HPV virus every year. You may have HPV for a long time and not even know it. That is why it is important to get tested regularly.
